Privacy policy
Last updated July 2026
This policy explains what Beacon collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Beacon is a white-label platform: you own your business data and your customers’ data, and we act as your processor for it.
1. Information we collect
Account information you give us: your name, email address, business name, website, and, when you subscribe, billing details processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
Audit and build inputs: the business name, website, and any details you enter to run an audit or build a site. We use these to generate your report and your sites.
Usage data: how you use the product, credits consumed, and basic device and log information. We use an approximate city derived from your IP address at the network edge to localize examples. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. How we use your information
To provide and improve the service, run your audits, build and host your sites, operate any add-ons you enable, process payments, send you service messages, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. You own your content and your data.
3. Third-party AI engines
To measure your visibility, we send buyer-intent prompts about your business to third-party AI answer engines and search providers and record what they return. We send only the business information needed for the query, never your customers’ personal data. Those providers process the queries under their own terms.
4. SMS messaging and A2P compliance
If you enable messaging, application-to-person (A2P) SMS is sent through registered 10DLC or equivalent carrier programs. Messages are only sent to recipients who have given prior express consent to the business sending them.
Every program supports opt-out: reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. Consent and opt-out data are used only to route and honor those requests, and are never sold or shared for others’ marketing. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies by program. As the business, you are responsible for obtaining and keeping records of consent from your own recipients.
5. Voice calls and recordings
If you enable the AI voice agent, inbound and outbound calls may be answered, placed, transcribed, and recorded to book appointments, take messages, and improve service. Where required by law, callers are notified that a call may be recorded, and in two-party-consent jurisdictions consent is obtained before recording.
You are responsible for using calling features in compliance with applicable law, including the TCPA, state calling and recording laws, and Do-Not-Call rules. Recordings and transcripts are retained only as long as needed to provide the service or as the law requires.
7. Retention, security, and your rights
We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and may close your account at any time. The service is not directed to children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
